Chelsea have reportedly informed AC Milan that they are unwilling to pay more than €10 million to sign goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
The Blues are exploring the transfer market for a new goalkeeper and they have identified Maignan as an ideal option to compete for places.
The Frenchman’s current deal with the Rossoneri expires in June next year, but the Milan giants are eyeing at least €30m to sanction his sale.
However, the Blues have no plans of meeting the price tag and they are reluctant to spend more than €10m on the former Lille shot-stopper.
It is unlikely that Milan will consider the proposal. They are expected to hold out for betters offers with the transfer window having just opened.
Maignan was initially touted to pen a new deal with the Rossoneri, but his stance changed after they failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Theo Hernandez has also been tipped to head for the Milan exit door.
