FC Heidenheim goalkeeper Kevin Müller suffered a concussion in the Bundesliga home game against VfL Bochum, the club has announced.

This was initially confirmed by examinations conducted late Friday evening at Heidenheim Hospital.

The German keeper was left unconscious after a collision with Bochum’s Ibrahima Sissoko in the 50th minute.

After a lengthy stoppage as he required medical treatment, Müller was subsequently stretchered off the pitch.

The club has stated that it is unclear how long Kevin Müller will be out. Frank Feller is expected to deputise between the posts.
