Bayer Leverkusen hope to secure a playoff spot in the Champions League as they host already-eliminated Villarreal in one of the 18 games to be played simultaneously tonight. Villarreal only have a single point in the prior seven matchdays, but they’re sitting fourth in the LaLiga standings.

Jonas Omlin joined Leverkusen this week to replace the injured Mark Flekken, but Janis Blaswich will continue in goal with the former Gladbach goalkeeper sitting on the bench.

Kasper Hjulmand picked the experienced Patrik Schick ahead of Christian Kofane as the sole striker. Lucas Vázquez keeps his place after scoring the only goal of the game against Werder Bremen on the weekend. Villarreal’s defender Santiago Mouriño is absent due to accumulated yellow cards.
