The clash between Gerardo Seoane’s former teams will be Sunday’s second fixture in the Bundesliga. The visitors will be led by an interim coach after they sacked the Swiss coach following the home defeat to Werder Bremen. Eugen Polanski, who has played 256 league games for Gladbach, Mainz and Hoffenheim, will be making his managerial debut.
Polanski’s first lineup saw new signings Jens Castrop and Yannick Engelhardt start in Gladbach’s midfield. Meanwhile, Kasper Hjulmand is unbeaten in his first two games as Leverkusen’s coach. The hosts have seven summer signings in their starting XI tonight.
