Schalke and Padeborn go head-to-head with the winner topping the 2. Bundesliga standings at the end of matchday 13. Both teams failed to win their games after the international break. Paderborn’s home defeat to Hannover ended their eight-game winning streak, while Schalke were unable to score against ten-man Preußen Münster.
Schalke’s wingback Vitalie Becker is back from suspension. Meanwhile, Christopher Antwi-Adjei starts for the first time since mid-October. Paderborn’s Calvin Brackelmann returns after an injury that ruled him out for the last five matches.
