Official team news has just been released for both Borussia Dortmund and St. Pauli for their Bundesliga Matchday 1 clash.

St.Pauli and Borussia Dortmund kick off their 2025/26 Bundesliga campaigns at the Millerntor-Stadion this evening in Hamburg.

With around an hour to go before kickoff, the confirmed St.Pauli vs Borussia Dortmund lineups have been announced – and you can find the official starting XIs below.

St.Pauli have gone with a strong lineup, albeit the loss of David Nemeth is a blow with Dzwigala in to replace him. There’s many a German topflight debut for the Kiezkickers with Hountondji and Pereira Lage to make just two. 

Dortmund set up with two changes to the team from their DfB-Pokal win over Rot-Weiss Essen with Jobe Bellingham in to make his Bundesliga debut and Adeyemi replacing Beier. Meanwhile, Yan Couto recovers from an injury scare to start.

St.Pauli starting XI (3-4-1-2): Vasilj – Wahl, Smith, Dzwigala – Pyrka, Sands, Fujita, Oppie – Sinani – Hountondji, Pereira Lage

Bor. Dortmund starting XI (3-4-1-2): Kobel – Mané, Anton, Bensebaini – Couto, Groß, Sabitzer, Svensson – Jobe – Guirassy Adeyemi
