Werder Bremen will play on Friday for the third time this season, hosting a struggling VfL Wolfsburg side. In their last game away from home, Paul Simonis’ team recorded their first win since the opening matchday, but they have now lost in back-to-back games.
Horst Steffen decided to replace goalless Victor Boniface with the 21-year-old Keke Topp up front. As for the visitors, Christian Eriksen keeps his place, with Patrick Wimmer starting on the bench.
