Marcus Rashford has set Barcelona a deadline to finalise terms as he looks to secure a Manchester United exit, FootballTransfers has been told.
The 27-year-old is expected to leave Old Trafford before the end of the January transfer window after admitting that he is “ready for a new challenge,” and Barcelona are keen to complete a deal.
Rashford hasn’t featured for Man Utd since their 2-1 victory against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on 12 December, and he has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A giants AC Milan.

Despite this, FootballTransfers has been informed that Rashford is currently prioritising a move to Barcelona.
We understand that Hansi Flick is eager to bring Rashford to Camp Nou this month, while the Man Utd forward is even willing to reduce his current salary in order to force through a transfer.
However, Rashford has told Barcelona that terms must be finalised by 15 January in order to ensure his representatives have enough time to negotiate a deal elsewhere if a move to Camp Nou falls through.
Barcelona’s interest in Rashford was exclusively reported by FootballTransfers back in December, but the Blaugrana now face a race against time to agree terms with the Man Utd star’s camp.

What has Ruben Amorim said?
Following Man Utd’s win over Arsenal in the FA Cup on Sunday, Amorim was asked whether Rashford will ever play for the club again.
“I don’t know. We’ll see,” Amorim responded. “He is a player for Manchester United. We’ll see. He has to work.
“He has to represent his club and he loves his club but I have to make choices. I already spoke about how I make the choices. It is what it is. Let’s continue, let’s see the next game and like I said I have to make a selection.”
Rashford has three-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract at Man Utd, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €54.1 million.
