Sandro Wagner will be the man in the WWK Arena dugout for the 2025-26 campaign.

Sandro Wagner will become the new head coach of FC Augsburg, Sky Germany have confirmed this evening.

The final agreement is now in place and the contract will be signed on Wednesday with a deal running until 2028.

Augsburg boss Michael Ströll was determined to get him as a replacement for Jess Thorup who was sacked last Friday.

Wagner will remain as assistant coach to the German team in the Nations League with Julian Nagelsmann in June.

After that competition ends, will prepare Augsburg for the new season starting in the summer.
