Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are all in a position to make a move for the Nigeria hitman, who has spent the last season on loan at Galatasaray after a permanent move from his Serie A owners could not be agreed a year ago.

Osimhen has been tracked by several of these clubs for well over a year, and now he has said that his target in the summer is to move to the Premier League.

The decision of the 26-year-old, whose deal is up in 2026, comes at the expense of the Saudi Pro League, which TBR Football understands has been told by the prolific striker is not his first choice in the summer.

Instead, he has informed officials in the Middle East that he wants to move to a Premier League club. This has put his numerous suitors on England on red alert.

Osimhen wants to make up for transfer disappointment

Victor Osimhen’s representatives are already working on securing a move for the summer, having been frustrated with the way the transfer window panned out in 2024.

Although he reached personal terms to move to PSG, Napoli would not accept an offer from the Parc des Princes club. Late in the window, meanwhile, there was the possibility of going to Chelsea, yet Osimhen turned down their salary offer.

With Napoli threatening to freeze him out for the season, he was forced to Galatasaray, where he has scored 26 goals in 30 games.

Osimhen has managed to retain much of his value in Turkey and has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €69 million. This corresponds almost perfectly with his reported release fee at Napoli, which has dropped to around €75m after being as high as €120m a year ago – a figure that put buying clubs off.

The Serie A club have some urgency to sell this year because he only has one year left on his contract.

Osimhen will therefore be on the move, and given the volume of interest, there appears every chance he will be heading to the Premier League.
