Cristiano Ronaldo has gone viral on social media once again after shooing away security in order to sign a child’s football shirt and ball.
The Portuguese superstar, who will turn 40 next month, attended the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai in December as he was named Best Middle Eastern Player as well as the Top Goalscorer of All Time.
Footage has now emerged of him being approached by a young boy holding a football shirt, ball and pen while he sat in his chair at the ceremony.
The boy was quickly spotted by a member of security who rushed over to try and stop him from getting close to Ronaldo.
But Ronaldo quickly waved the security guard away and took the pen from the boy before signing his ball and shirt.
The young child, who appeared a littler nervous as he met his hero, could then be seen starting to rush off without taking his pen with him.

Ronaldo was happy to sign the boy’s football shirt and ball before he ran back to his family
Fortunately, Ronaldo stopped him and handed the pen over before smiling to himself as the boy ran back to his family with his memorabilia signed.
The heartwarming video has proved a hit on social media, with fans impressed by Ronaldo taking time out to give the child a moment he is unlikely to forget in a hurry.
As well as picking up two individual awards, Ronaldo also caused a stir at the Globe Soccer Awards after making controversial comments about the Ballon d’Or and Ligue 1.
The Al-Nassr forward claimed that Vinicius Jr should have won the Ballon d’Or ahead of Manchester City midfielder Rodri back in October, as he labelled the award ‘unfair’.
He then insisted that the Saudi Pro League is stronger than Ligue 1 after claiming ‘France only has PSG’.
It is not the first time he has hit out at France’s top division, having previously questioned the strength of the league when his great rival Lionel Messi played for PSG between 2021 and 2023.
He also hinted at potentially owning a football club in the future, as he suggested he could fix former club Manchester United’s problems after a difficult first 12 months under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos.
