Cristiano Ronaldo‘s uncle has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Jersey, according to a report.

The incident is reported by JM to have taken place on Wednesday, in the United Kingdom island’s capital, St Helier, which is located in the south of the island.

Jorge Viveiros was reportedly driving a motorcycle at the time and was hit by the car, driven by a woman, and the vehicle is said to have overturned on the road following the incident.

He is then reported to have been taken to hospital by firefighters who attended the scene.

The brother of Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, Viveiros is said to have been discharged the same day after being assessed by medics.

He is now thought to be at home recovering following the incident in the centre of the island’s capital.

The Portugal forward has been playing for his country over the recent international break

Ronaldo, meanwhile, has been on international duty with Portugal over the last couple of weeks, playing the first game of the break – a 5-1 win over Poland on Friday.

He scored twice in the game, helping his nation to the top of League A Group 1 and confirming their qualification status with a game left to play.

The Al-Nassr forward then sat out the second match on Monday, which was a 1-1 draw with Croatia.

He will now return to Saudi Arabia and Al-Nassr ahead of their Saudi Pro League game against Al-Qadisiyah on Friday night.
