David Moyes jokes he’ll be glad to see the back of ‘Liverpool’s daddy’ Jurgen Klopp and his ‘too bright teeth’ when he leaves at the end of the season after his Hammers side dent Reds’ Premier League title charge

David Moyes has joked that he can’t wait to see the back of Jurgen Klopp, after sharing the touchline with the Liverpool boss for the last time.

Klopp will bring an end to his nine-year reign at Anfield at the end of the campaign, with Feyenoord’s Arne Slot set to replace the popular boss.

The German is currently on a farewell tour around the Premier League grounds, and saw his side drop two more points in their faltering title challenge as they were held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham at the London Stadium.

Following the match, Moyes was asked in his post-match press conference about Klopp’s departure, where the Scot amusingly admitted to being glad to see the back of the Reds boss, before hailing his impact on the Premier League.

‘I’ll be glad when he’s gone’. Moyes joked.

‘He’s too f***ing big. Teeth are too bright.

‘I hate saying because I’ve worked for the club’s biggest rivals but I think he’s been immense for Liverpool, I think he’s the Daddy there, I really do.

‘He’s been able to control a big football club, which is something that isn’t easy to do at times, but he’s controlled it. But I’m glad to see the back of him, I’ve got to say.

‘The Premier League brings in lots of managers from different places, some come and go very quickly, some can last the course.’

It’s no surprise that Moyes is pleased to see Klopp end his Premier League stint, having only beaten his opposite number once in fourteen meetings.

However, his West Ham side did put another dent in Liverpool’s faltering title hopes by holding the Reds to a 2-2 draw at the London Stadium

Jarrod Bowen gave the Hammers the lead just before half time, netting his twentieth goal of the season in all competitions.

Second half goals from Andrew Robertson and an own goal from goalie Alephonse Areola put Liverpool in control before Michail Antonio’s equaliser thirteen minutes from the end.

Klopp now has only three games left in the Liverpool hot seat before he brings the curtain down on his tenure on Merseyside

His replacement, Slot, is set to be confirmed in the coming days after the club agreed a compensation package with Feyenoord to make the Dutchman their new manager.
