De Rossi rescinds AS Roma contract amid possible Serie A return

Multiple sources in Italy claim that Daniele De Rossi has reached an agreement to terminate his contract with Roma, while Torino and Serie B side Monza emerge as possible destinations for the former Italy international.

Ex-Roma coach De Rossi could soon sign for a new club as the 42-year-old has reached an agreement to rescind his contract with Roma.

De Rossi was sacked by the Giallorossi a year ago, but was still under contract until 2027.

Sky Sport and Gazzetta are among the Italian sources reporting that the agreement between De Rossi and Roma has been reached. Calcio&Finanza reports that the deal will allow Roma to save €4m.

According to Sky, Serie A strugglers Torino or Serie B side Monza are among the possible next destinations for De Rossi.

Torino coach Marco Baroni is on the brink, having collected four points in the opening five games of the season, losing the last two league matches. Monza, coached by Paolo Bianco, sit 9th in Serie B with eight points in six rounds.
