Dele Alli‘s appearance on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football show will help Everton avoid paying £10m to Tottenham as part of the midfielder’s previous transfer to Goodison Park.
The 28-year-old is making his first televised media appearance since his powerful interview with Gary Neville on The Overlap last year.
Alli previously joined Everton in a surprise January move two years ago in an attempt to find a way back to his previous career-best form that had seen him star for both Spurs and England.
However, a mix of injuries and struggles to find form at Everton have seen Alli make just 13 appearances since then, and he is yet to play a single competitive game this season for the Toffees.
Everton travelled to take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday night with the aim of putting further distance between themselves and the drop zone, after they were deducted another two points by the Premier League last week for breaching profit and sustainability rules.

The rules of Everton’s previous deal with Tottenham for Alli’s signature saw him join on an initial free transfer, but the club must pay Spurs £10m when he makes 20 Premier League appearances.
That figure won’t be achieved this season with Alli now unable to make more than 19 appearances even if he plays in every remaining English top-flight fixture during the end-of-season run-in.
The midfielder has been working to make a return to the pitch this season and looked to be nearing a comeback before revealing he had suffered a setback at the end of last year.
Everton manager Sean Dyche has been unable to pick Alli in his matchday squad this season

Alli will instead be sat with Jamie Carragher and David Jones in the Sky studio as Everton attempt to pull off a memorable victory in the capital.
Earlier this season, Everton boss Sean Dyche spoke out on Alli’s fitness woes, saying that it would be ‘very pleasing’ to have him back after his difficulties away from the pitch.
‘He still has a bit to go because he has been out for a long time,’ Dyche said in December. ‘He needs a game programme, but to get him back on with us would be really pleasing for him because he’s been so unlucky.’
