Did Aurelien Tchouameni just let slip over Kylian Mbappe’s future? Real Madrid star appears to confirm a Bernabeu move from PSG is close in interview with Dutch press

Aurelien Tchouameni has appeared to confirm that Kylian Mbappe will join Real Madrid this summer.

Mbappe’s Paris Saint-Germain contract is set to expire at the end of June and he has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Tchouameni, who is team-mates with Mbappe at international level for France, suggested that the 25-year-old will be playing for Real next season.

In an interview, Tchouameni stated that fans in Spain will realise just how good Mbappe is when he plays in LaLiga.

Speaking to Telefoot, Tchouameni said: ‘The Spanish are aware of the player that Kylian is, although when they see him every day they will realise the player’s greatness’.

Mbappe has revealed that he will make an announcement on his future before Euro 2024 starts in June.

Real have reportedly reached an agreement with Mbappe, who came close to joining them in 2022.

Mbappe is reportedly set to join Real on a free transfer with a signing on fee of £85.5million.

Speaking about his future, Mbappe told Telefoot: ‘People will know my future before the Euros. I’m very calm about it.

‘My future is no longer a huge topic at the club, no one talks to me about it anymore.

‘I’ll be at the Euros with calm head, ready to do great things.’

Last month Mail Sport revealed that Real are prepared to make Mbappe the highest earner at the club.

That would see Mbappe earn more than the £10.3million that Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior receive per season.

During his time at PSG Mbappe has scored 250 goals in 297 appearances.

Tchouameni, meanwhile, has been at Real since 2022 after joining from Monaco. 

Both Mbappe and Tchouameni started as France lost 2-0 to Germany in a friendly on Saturday.
