Fiorentina are interested in a January move for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to reports.
The Toffees star has struggled in front of goal so far this season, scoring just twice in 15 Premier League appearances.
The 27-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season and he’s available to hold talks with European clubs over a pre-contract agreement during the January window.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Dimarzio, Fiorentina could be tempted to make a move for Calvert-Lewin next month.
Everton have become known as a selling club in recent years with Anthony Gordon and Amadou Onana fetching big fees to help finances.
Earlier this season, manager Sean Dyche admitted he would rather lose Calvert-Lewin for nothing next summer than jeopardise their Premier League status by cashing in during the January window

‘I think the bigger prize in this case is Premier League football for Everton Football Club,’ said Dyche in October.
‘The number one priority since I’ve been here is safeguarding our status. Along the journey, we’ve obviously had to bring money in but fortunately have never been pushed as far as giving players away for any cost.
‘We can still make decisions on situations and I can’t see anything other than Dom certainly being here until the end of his contract and then hopefully beyond.
‘I have an opinion of course on player trading, players in, players out, contracts. Kev (Sporting Director Kevin Thelwell) will take care of the business side of the club and we’ve worked pretty well together so far. We are pretty much aligned in what we think.’
Everton could be in a stronger position to lose Calvert-Lewin for free after the club’s takeover was confirmed on Thursday.
The Friedkin Group have been officially announced as the new custodians of the club – with stability said to be the key message the Texas-based billionaires want to give to fans.
Dan Friedkin, the stunt pilot and aviation expert worth £4.8bn, will lead the new empire and has appointed Marc Watts as executive chairman, with Ana Dunkel set to join the board as financial director. Colin Chong will continue in his role as interim chief executive officer.
Friedkin said: ‘Dear Evertonians, I want to express my gratitude for your continued support.

‘Everton represents a proud legacy, and we are honoured to become custodians of this great institution. The Friedkin Group is a diverse family of companies with a global footprint spanning industries such as sports, automotive, entertainment, hospitality, and adventure.
‘Across all our endeavours, we strive to deliver extraordinary experiences that ignite people’s passions. We are thrilled to bring this ethos to Everton and the Liverpool City Region.
‘Whilst we are new to the club, we fully understand the vital role Everton plays in local culture, history, and the lives of Evertonians here and around the world. We are deeply committed to honouring this legacy while contributing positively to the community, economy, and people of this remarkable city.’
