The club from Lower Saxony have picked up some defensive reinforcement in the transfer window.

Eintracht Braunschweig have officially announced the signing of central defender Louis Breunig from Jahn Regensburg.

The 21-year-old has signed a contract with Eintracht until 2028, with an option to extend the deal by a further year.

According to the club’s report, Breunig has already arrived at the training camp in Tyrol and is available to join the team immediately.

“We had a clear plan early on to add a left-footer to our central defense to allow us to be even more flexible in our build-up play.

“Louis brings a strong left foot, but also the necessary pace and defensive aggression that we need in this position,” said sporting director Benjamin Kessel.
