The final days of the transfer market are full of surprises, as Como managed to get all the details in place for Bologna defender Stefan Posch at lightning speed for €4m plus add-ons.

We had already reported that there was an interest from Como earlier today, after weeks of the central defender being linked with clubs in Italy and abroad.

They took advantage of the fact the two clubs faced off in Serie A this evening at the Stadio Dall’Ara to engage in some face to face negotiations and get the move agreed quickly.

It is going to be a move worth €4m plus add-ons, a loan with obligation to buy, meaning that first Posch has to extend his contract, seeing as it expires in June 2026.

The Austria international can be a valuable addition for Cesc Fabregas, as he is able to play in central defence or as a right-back.

The 28-year-old spent the last six months of the previous campaign on loan with Atalanta.
