Done Deal: Ricci set for AC Milan medical in 25m Torino agreement

As Football Italia had already reported, it was only a matter of time for Milan and Torino to agree on a €25m deal for Samuele Ricci, so the medical is planned for next week.

It was no secret that the negotiations were at a very advanced stage and they were merely whittling down the final details.

Milan are going to pay €23m plus up to a further €2m in performance-related bonuses.

The player can undergo his medical next week, which as Football Italia already reported could not be earlier due to his vacation abroad, and then put pen to paper on a five-year deal.

Ricci not the only reinforcement for Milan

He will be another midfield reinforcement for the Rossoneri, who already have a verbal agreement with Luka Modric to sign him as a free agent.

The veteran Croatia international will be available after Real Madrid have completed their FIFA Club World Cup games.

Ricci has been linked with Milan for many years and he will celebrate his 24^th birthday in August.

Torino had purchased him from Empoli in 2022, initially on loan and then with the obligation to buy for a total €9.5m plus bonuses.

They also owe Empoli a 10 per cent cut of his sell-on fee, so €2.3m should go to the Tuscans.
