The new head coach is familiar with a lot of the Italian squad already and the Azzurri will be hoping that this experience will prove fruitful as they battle to qualify for next year’s World Cup.

Donnarumma had a fantastic 2024-25 campaign, as he was named in the Champions League team of the season after helping the Parisien side lift the trophy. PSG defeated Inter in the final and the former Milan shot stopper kept a clean sheet as the Ligue 1 giants triumphed 5-0.
