Dortmund conjuring up third attempt to sign Cherki, BILD reports

Die Schwarzgelben will be hoping to push the Rayan Cherki deal over the line at the third time of asking.

Borussia Dortmund will make their third attempt to sign Rayan Cherki in summer, BILD suggests.

Sebastian Kehl and Niko Kovač in particular, who has already spoken to Rayan Cherki, are strongly in favour of a transfer for the Frenchman. 

However, one sticking point could be the increase in Cherki’s price tag which is now rumoured to be 30 million euros.

BVB’s dream scenario would be that Lyon, who are currently in some financial difficulty, could be forced to sell for less to recoup money.

The Ligue 1 club is also in danger of missing out on European competition altogether, which would exacerbate the situation.
