Dortmund could stick or twist with Haller as Kovač master plan lies in wait

Die Schwarzgelben are considering what to do with the 2023 African Cup of Nations winner.

According to the latest report from Sport BILD, there are now two possible scenarios for Sébastien Haller.

In the best-case scenario, he finds a new club within the next two weeks and Dortmund saves on his €10million salary.

Otherwise, the back up solution involves a ‘secret plan’ curated by head coach Niko Kovač which would take immediate effect.

Haller is currently said to be at a very good fitness level; working hard on himself while BVB were at the Club World Cup in the USA.

Above all, Kovač is said to have the confidence to get Haller back into shape. He still has a very high opinion of the Ivorian striker. 

In his 41 appearances for Dortmund since signing in 2022, the 31-year-old has provided 12 goals and 6 assists.
