Dortmund re-open talks with Chelsea for Chukwuemeka

According to Fabrizio Romano, Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea are negotiating once again over a potential transfer for Carney Chukwuemeka.

After Carney Chukwuemeka spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, the Black and Yellows have been trying to bring the midfielder back to Signal Iduna Park for the upcoming campaign.

Fabrizio Romano now reports that Dortmund and Chelsea have re-opened talks over a fresh move to Germany for the central midfielder, who is reportedly keen to make the move.

Chelsea are said to prefer a permanent deal rather than another loan, and recent reports suggest they have lowered their asking price for the 21-year-old to around €25 million.

Chukwuemeka, who also represented Dortmund at the Club World Cup this summer, has made a total of 17 appearances for the German side.
