Borussia Dortmund are ready to open talks with Chelsea over a new loan deal for midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, as per Fabrizio Romano.
Chukwuemeka fell out-of-favour under manager Enzo Maresca earlier this season and he was loaned out last winter.
The 21-year-old has registered one goal in 10 appearances for Dortmund. He has impressed with his overall displays.
Dortmund are now keen on extending his loan deal for another year. They could include an option to buy as well.
It remains to be seen whether the Blues consider the proposal or wait for other offers on the table over the summer.
A number of Premier League clubs are monitoring the midfielder too and could be prepared to discuss a cash move.
West Ham United and Everton are among admirers of the Aston Villa graduate, who has no future with the Blues.
Chelsea are eyeing around £40m for the talented ace, but they may have to lower their demands for his permanent exit.
