Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho as Chelsea push to land Jamie Gittens, according to Sky Sports.
The England international recently returned to the Red Devils after Chelsea decided against purchasing him. The Blues had an obligation to buy, but nullified the clause by paying a £5 million penalty fee.
Sancho is now expected to choose a new club and reports claim that Dortmund are eyeing a reunion with Sancho. The winger previously spent time on loan with them during the 2023/24 campaign.
A permanent transfer seems unlikely on the cards due to his reluctance to accept a pay-cut on his hefty £250,000 per week wages. He will most likely leave United on a season-long loan agreement this summer.
Dortmund have asked to be kept informed about Sancho’s situation. The German giants could swoop for his signature if Chelsea finalise an agreement to land Jamie Gittens over the coming weeks.
The Blues have failed with an opening bid worth €35 million before add-ons. They are expected to make a renewed offer for the young winger.
