Marvin Ducksch will miss Werder Bremen’s game against VfL Wolfsburg through injury with Romano Schmid also doubtful.

The news was announced by head coach Ole Werner in Bremen’s press conference earlier today.

Ducksch clenched his right thigh and left the field in the 29th-minute in last night’s 2-1 defeat to Arminia Bielefeld in the DfB Pokal.

A personnel update from head coach Werner said the ex-BVB striker will have to take a break with a muscle injury.

In the case of Romano Schmid who missed the Bielefeld game through illness, the Austrian has been dubbed “unlikely” to feature against Die Wolfe.
