Reports in Italy confirm that Roma star Paulo Dybala will be unavailable for the Derby della Capitale against rivals Lazio after coming off with a minor injury during the Giallorossi’s 1-0 loss to Torino over the weekend.

Gian Piero Gasperini confirmed after the Torino match that Dybala came off due to a ‘little problem’, which he did not think was a major cause for concern

Updates from the likes of Sky Sport Italia, however, confirm that La Joya has suffered a low-grade muscular strain in his thigh, which is expected to keep him out of the Roma-Lazio derby next weekend.

Dybala had earned his first start of the season in the 1-0 loss against Torino, as he had been working his way back up to full fitness with a pair of substitute appearances in the first two games of the season, against Bologna and Pisa.

He was, however, forced off before full-time in his first start of the 2025-26 season, which will now cost him an appearance in the derby next weekend.
