Rasmus Kristensen has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a permanent basis from Leeds United.
The 27-year-old right-back, who initially joined the Bundesliga side on loan last summer, has impressed with his consistent performances and has now signed a long-term contract with the club through to 2029.
“In addition to his footballing quality, Rasmus also stands out with his great mentality,” said Markus Krösche, Eintracht’s board member for sport.
“He has become a very important part of our team and we are delighted that he is staying with Eintracht in the long term.”
Kristensen, who quickly established himself as a key member of the squad, expressed his happiness about continuing in Frankfurt.
“I’ve felt very comfortable in Frankfurt right from the start, and my family has also settled in really well here,” said the Danish international.
“I fought hard to be able to stay at Eintracht longer and I want to repay the trust placed in me by continuing to perform well. I’m really looking forward to the last few games of the season and to what lies ahead in Frankfurt.”
