In recent years, Nico Elvedi has been consistently linked with a move away from Borussia Mönchengladbach, but he has so far remained with Die Fohlen.

That could change this summer, however, with the 28-year-old centre-back admitting he’s open to a move away if it’s the right fit.

“It will probably be a talking point again after this season,” Elvedi told SRF.

“I’ve said that openly. If something comes up, I’ll look at it. But it has to be a step forward, a step up from Gladbach.”

Elvedi will have spent 10 years at Gladbach this summer and is under contract until 2027.

His centre-back partner Ko Itakura is also being linked with a move away.
