England players will spend hundreds of thousands of pounds on ‘military grade’ security measures to protect their homes during the Euros after a spate of break-ins on Premier League stars.
They are set to spend around £250,000 on infra-red and night-vision cameras plus around-the-clock security for the duration of the tournament in Germany.
Ex-special forces personnel are also being employed to guard their homes during the competition which takes place from June 14 to July 14.
England players based in Manchester have already discussed the plans at a recent family get-together.
Some players have already installed panic rooms in their luxury homes in an attempt to keep loved ones safe in response to the trend of targeting footballers.

A source told The Mirror: ‘The security systems for a mansion are £120,000-£150,000 and they are booking round-the-clock security for the Euros.
‘You have to book guards in for a month for the duration of the tournament in case England get to the final. So the final bill could be anywhere in the region of £250,000.’
Manchester United centre back Harry Maguire, 31, Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, 30, and Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish, 28, are among those with new security plans.
The improved security comes after a series of terrifying high-profile raids on Premier League stars.
Jack Grealish has spoken out after his Cheshire mansion was raided for £1million worth of jewellery by thieves on Boxing Day while his family were inside.
The footballer, 28, spoke of his devastation over the ‘traumatic’ incident which left his loved ones terrified, as he insisted their safety is his number one priority.
Footballer Jack’s fiancee Sasha Attwood, 28, was with his family watching Jack’s match at their home and hit a panic button when the burglars struck.

Sharing a picture of himself with his dog, Jack addressed the incident for the first time on Instagram on Sunday, describing the incident as ‘traumatic’.
Jack’s family were forced to run and hide for cover inside the £5.6million mansion that Jack only moved into before Christmas, while police told neighbours to lock their doors and stay in their homes.
Police, fearing they could face a potential hostage situation, rushed to the scene and even had a helicopter search the area, but the offenders were able to escape with £1million worth of jewellery.
Another Premier League star who was targeted was Newcastle midfielder Joelinton Cássio Apolinário de Lira who had his mansion burgled while he and his family were watching a football match in January.

The Brazilian received a security alert on his mobile phone and immediately informed police that three men were in his Darras Hall home.
The property, where Joelinton lives with his partner and three children, was empty at the time.
Officers responded and a police helicopter was dispatched but the intruders had fled the scene.
Another Premier League star who was targeted was Kurt Zouma. His house was broken into in early December while the centre-back and his family were inside, taking expensive items as well as possessions with sentimental value.
The 29-year-old subsequently missed West Ham’s 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace citing personal reasons, with the club offering a £25,000 fee for information leading to the arrest of those involved.
As Zouma returned in time to face Spurs, David Moyes told a press conference: ‘We are happy to have him back.

‘He has been fine. It’s been a terrible situation for him and the club has supported him really well. He’s our captain and we are fully behind him.
‘No one would want that to happen to themselves. A reward has been put up and hopefully the police will get the people responsible for it.’
One of the most impactful robberies involved England star Raheem Sterling when he was left ‘shaken’ following the burglary at his £6million mansion in December 2022.
Thieves broke into the father of three’s gated home before making off with a stash of watches and jewellery – prompting the shocked star to race home from Qatar to be with his family.
Police were contacted around 9pm on Saturday, December 3 after Sterling’s family returned to find ‘a number of items including jewellery and watches’ had been stolen.

Another Premier League victim was Manchester United star Victor Lindelof.
His terrified wife and young children locked themselves in a room as intruders broke into their home, while he played in a Premier League match against Brentford in January 2022.
In an Instagram story following the incident, Lindelof’s wife Maja said: ‘During Victor’s game this Wednesday night we had a break-in at our house in Manchester.
‘I was home alone with both kids but we managed to hide and lock ourselves in a room before they entered our house.
‘We are OK under the circumstances but it was obviously a very traumatic and scary moment for both and my little kids.
‘We are now in Sweden and are spending some time off with our families.’
