Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has revealed that striker Marc Guiu could return to the matchday squad against Djurgarden on Thursday night.
The Blues registered a 4-1 win over Djurgarden in the first leg of the Conference League final. The second leg will be played at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.
Ahead of the game, Maresca has confirmed that there are no fresh injuries to report. The Italian added that Guiu could make the squad after overcoming a hamstring issue.
He told reporters: “We don’t have any [new] injuries. Marc Guiu could be already involved in tomorrow’s squad, not sure yet. He’s very close to being back with us.”
The Blues are overwhelming favourites to win the European competition. They should comfortably make the final with another convincing victory tomorrow.
They will face either Fiorentina or Real Betis later this month. Both teams have been in good form this campaign, but the Blues will probably want to avoid the latter.
