Erik ten Hag reportedly faces being axed by Manchester United at the end of the season with their penalty shoot-out win over Coventry viewed as the ‘last straw’.
According to The Sun, the Dutchman’s fate has been sealed after Man United fans streamed for the exit at full-time despite reaching the FA Cup final after a 4-2 shoot-out win over the Championship side.
The Red Devils scraped through having led 3-0 at Wembley, only for Coventry to fight back to force the tie to extra time and penalties.
A significant number of fans had left by the time Rasmus Hojlund converted the winning kick, and more empty seats soon opened up after Man United booked their place in the final.
Coventry supporters, notably, made by the majority of fans left in Wembley after the match despite suffering penalty shoot-out heartbreak.

The Dutchman’s future has reportedly been settled regardless of whether Man United win the FA Cup on May 25.
