Erik ten Hag‘s training sessions are reportedly set to be scrutinised as Manchester United prepare to make a final decision on the Dutchman’s future.
Ten Hag avoided humiliation on Sunday as Man United beat Coventry 4-2 on penalties in the FA Cup semi-finals, after the Championship side fought back from 3-0 down to force extra time at Wembley.
Man United’s alarming collapse has raised further doubts over Ten Hag’s future, despite guiding the club to a three cup final in two seasons.
According to the Telegraph, Man United have reportedly tasked the clubs new technical director Jason Wilcox with conducting an audit of Ten Hag’s credentials over the next month.
The audit is expected to assess Ten Hag’s strengthens and weaknesses, ranging from his relationship with members of the squad to training sessions.

Wilcox joined Man United last week after compensation was agreed with Southampton, with the 53-year-old starting work at Carrington today.
He will reportedly appraise Ten Hag’s training sessions over the next month, while holding talks with the manager, players and coaching staff.
Wilcox will reportedly assess whether Ten Hag can deliver the style of play desired by the new football structure under Ineos or whether the club will need to change manager at the conclusion of the season.
Mail Sport previously reported that Ten Hag has turned a deaf ear to speculation over his Old Trafford future, which has gathered much steam in recent months.
Ten Hag’s relationship with players has come under the spotlight this season with Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnancho having all been disciplined by the club.
Sancho who criticised Ten Hag on social media after he was left out of a game at Arsenal at the start of this season.
He was made to train on his own at United’s Carrington training complex for the next four months and then sent out on loan to his former club Borussia Dortmund.
Rashford was later sanctioned after calling in sick for training following a visit to a Belfast nightclub in January, while Garnacho was disciplined last week for liking tweets criticising Ten Hag.

Ten Hag has repeatedly highlighted his struggle to name his first choice team this season with Man United having been plagued by injury problems throughout the campaign.
The Man United boss was forced to name Casemiro alongside Harry Maguire heart of the defence at Wembley, with the former the club’s only fit senior centre back available.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe, fresh from a personal best time in the London Marathon, arrived at Wembley to watch the second half of the FA Cup semi-final as Man United capitulated.
Sir Dave Brailsford and Wilcox were among other key faces from the new regime at Wembley as Man United escaped by winning 4-2 on penalties.
Wilcox will reportedly deliver his verdict at the end of the season, with Man United facing rivals Man City in the FA Cup final on May 25.
His verdict is expected to be key with Man United still attempting to secure an compensation agreement with Newcastle for Dan Ashworth, who is expected to become director of football.
