Everton are at risk of suffering another points deduction if they are found to have breached spending rules in their next set of accounts, according to reports.
Earlier this month, the Toffees were deducted 10 points for breaching Premier League profit and sustainability rules, which plunged the Toffees into 19th in the table.
The club were referred to an independent commission in March for alleged breaches which related to the 2021-22 season and a hearing took place last month.
Now, according to The Times, Everton are preparing to submit their accounts from the 2022-23 season to the Premier League – with a deadline set for December 31st.
The outlet claim that under new regulations brought in during the summer, breaches of financial rules will be fast-tracked and dealt with before the end of the season.

In-turn, this could lead to the Toffees suffering yet another points deduction, with fears growing ‘that the same calculation system’ which decided their recent penalty, will be used once more.
Earlier this month, the Premier League pushed for a sizeable points deduction for Everton, in order to set a precedent after the club were charged with breaching financial rules back in 2021-22.
The Toffees posted staggering financial losses of almost £372million over a three-year period.
That is more than £250m above what the Premier League’s guidelines permits clubs to lose over a three-year rolling time frame. The technical alleged breaches related to accounting treatments, with the League arguing Everton breached profit and sustainability rules (PSR).
Mail Sport recently revealed how their 10-point deduction has cast doubts on the future of first-team coach Sean Dyche.
Since his arrival in January, the former Burnley boss has rejuvenated the Toffees, sparing them from relegation last season and leading them to a relatively impressive 14-point haul this campaign.
The current Toffees regime are keen to discuss the prospect of a longer contract with Dyche, who has just 18 months left to run on his current deal.
However, the brutal Premier League points deduction for breaches of financial rules has resulted in those plans, at least temporarily, being put on hold while the club handle the ramifications of a Premier League ruling that leaves them second bottom of the table.

Prior to their 3-0 defeat against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, Everton fans made their frustrations with the point deduction known – as they attended the match with customised pink cards.
Fans congregated near their home stadium with banners and flares before Sunday’s game.
Videos of the crowds show them singing Everton songs, with messages also directed at the Premier League.
A number of Everton fans held up pink cards that featured the Premier League logo and the word ‘corrupt’ beneath it.
