Erik ten Hag is still without a club after leaving Manchester United in October.
The coach previously attended games of Dutch side Heracles Almelo, among others, and last Friday set foot in Borussia Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park.
Ten Hag was spotted in the stands of the stadium as a spectator at the Bundesliga top match between Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen (2-3), according to Sky Germany.

“Borussia’s marketing director Carsten Cramer showed Ten Hag around the business area,” Sky reports. “He also exchanged a few words with technical director Sven Mislintat.”
Ten Hag is said to have attended several Dortmund matches since he was thrown out on the street at Old Trafford on October 28 last year. This also happened on Friday, the broadcaster writes.

Ten Hag to Dortmund?
Reporter Patrick Berger of the German channel writes that Ten Hag regularly shows up in Dortmund because of his good relationship with club advisor Matthias Sammer.
The former Ballon d’Or winner brought Ten Hag to Bayern Munich in 2013 to coach the reserve team. Sammer is also said to have made an attempt to appoint Ten Hag as national coach of Germany’s Under-21s during the period that he worked as sporting director at the German Football Association, the DFB.
Borussia Dortmund head coach Nuri Sahin is under considerable fire as his team, which reached the Champions League final last season under his predecessor Edin Terzic, currently occupies only eighth place in the Bundesliga.

However, the former midfielder does not have to fear for his job immediately due to Ten Hag’s constant appearances. “There is no connection between Dortmund’s current results crisis and Ten Hag’s visits to the stadium,” reports Sky.
“The 36-year-old coach still enjoys the full confidence of the club management.” However, Sahin must be careful: “It will only become dangerous for the young coach if fourth place gets out of sight. Only then could Ten Hag become an option at BVB.”
Dortmund now have 25 points, which is five fewer than third and fourth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig, respectively. The top four teams qualify directly for the league phase of the Champions League at the end of the season.
