There were no doubts about Eljif Elmas’ return to Napoli after what we have reported in the past few days.
Now we can add one more detail: tomorrow, the North Macedonian midfielder will fly to Italy, ready for his medical tests.
The deal consists of a loan, with a flat €2 million fee, and an option to buy the player permanently set at around €16 million.
Elmas set for Serie A return with Napoli
Earlier this summer, it looked as though Elmas may join Torino, with whom the former Fenerbahce midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan with. However, Napoli decided to give the 25-year-old a second chance in Naples under head coach Antonio Conte.
Elmas left Naples in January 2024, for a reported fee of around €23 million. The midfielder has made just 22 appearances for Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in all competitions, over the span of two seasons, and now looks set to return to Serie A.
