Fabrizio Romano breaks silence on Gabriel Martinelli to Al Nassr rumours

Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli is not an option for Saudi Pro League giants Al Nassr, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Brazil international had an inconsistent 2024/25 season with the Gunners. He managed only 16 goal contributions from 51 appearances.

There has recently been speculation that Al Nassr could contemplate an approach for him with Liverpool‘s Luiz Diaz having declined a move.

However, Romano has clarified that a move for Martinelli is not on the cards and Al Nassr have other targets in mind for the transfer window.

Arsenal are expected to sign a marquee left winger this summer and they have identified Real Madrid’s Rodrygo as the prime transfer target.

Rodrygo has likewise opened the door for a transfer, but a deal could ultimately depend on the Gunners recouping funds from a possible sale.

Leandro Trossard recently changed his representatives and could be the player to make way for the Gunners to pursue a deal for Rodrygo.
