Fabrizio Romano CONFIRMS Chelsea’s asking price for Nicolas Jackson

Chelsea are reportedly open to selling Nicolas Jackson this summer if they receive an offer worth roughly €60 million.

The 24-year-old has been Chelsea’s first-choice striker since his arrival from Villarreal in 2023, however there are serious questions over his long-term future at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Liam Delap and the Blues’ continued pursuit of Hugo Ekitike.

FootballTransfers understands that Manchester United have made checks on Jackson in recent months, while Aston Villa, Juventus and Napoli have also earmarked him as a possible transfer target for this summer.

Jackson is no longer considered “untouchable” by the Chelsea hierarchy, as per Gianluca Di Marzio, following his red card versus Flamengo at the Club World Cup, and Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that Enzo Maresca’s side would be open to selling the Senegal star.

The football transfer news expert told his Italian YouTube channel: “What I can say at the moment as of June 21st, Chelsea is asking a high price for Jackson because I am told he has interest from the Premier League, we are talking above €55-60m.

“A possible departure for Jackson? Yes it’s possible, but in Italy it would only happen if Chelsea change their price.”

Nicolas Jackson issues social media statement

Following Jackson’s red card against Flamengo on Friday – his second dismissal in his last four Chelsea appearances – the Senegal international posted an apology statement on Instagram.

“I want to say sorry. To the club, the staff, my teammates, and all the fans watching, I let you down,” Jackson wrote.

“Another red card … and honestly, I’m so angry at myself. I work very hard every day to help the team not to put us in this kind of situation. I still don’t fully understand how it happened. But one thing is clear: it wasn’t intentional. Just a football moment that went the wrong way.

“No excuses. I take full responsibility. I’ll reflect, I’ll grow, and I’ll come back stronger for the badge and for everyone who believes in me. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.”

Chelsea face ES Tunis in their final group stage fixture of the 2025 Club World Cup on Wednesday (02:00 UK time), knowing a draw will be enough to qualify for the last-16.
