Fabrizio Romano confirms imminent Kudus bid as Chelsea open talks

Chelsea have opened talks to sign Mohammed Kudus while Tottenham are set to make another bid for the West Ham attacker.

The Ghana star is one of the hottest properties on the summer transfer market, with the London giants both fighting it out for signature.

Nicolo Schira reported overnight that Chelsea have opened talks to sign the West Ham frontman.

Fabrizio Romano also reported on Sunday morning that Tottenham are set to make another bid for Kudus next week.

Kudus to Tottenham or Chelsea?

Romano says that new Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has given his approval for Kudus to be a key target.

Kudus is understood to be keen on joining Spurs but Romano confirms Schira’s report that Chelsea are also in talks.

Romano says that there are other clubs also interested.

Kudus, 24, has impressed since joining West Ham in 2023 and he has been heavily linked with a number of other top Premier League sides, including Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.

The 24-year-old has 19 goals in 80 appearances for West Ham, while his current contract at the London Stadium isn’t due to expire until 2028.

West Ham are prepared to sell Kudus for financial reasons.
