Fans on social media have pointed out an unfortunate resemblence of flags Fulham had handed out to spectators at Craven Cottage to the hoods of American white-supremacist group the Klu Klux clan.
It came ahead of their Carabao Cup semi-final match against the Liverpool on Wednesday night.
Marco Silva‘s side suffered a 2-1 defeat in their previous tie at Anfield, where goals from Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo gave them the advantage coming into the second leg.
Fulham, meanwhile, are hoping to gain a berth in the final of the League Cup for the first time in the club’s history but were dealt a huge blow in the opening 11 minutes of the match after Luis Diaz put the hosts 1-0 up.
But fans on social media noticed that the flags that had been handed out to the home fans ahead of the match had taken an unfortunate resemblence to the hoods of the white-supremacist group.

The club had propped the white flags up against seats inside the home end of the stadium and had placed black flags in other areas of the ground.
Ahead of the match, fans unfolded the flags to unveil a sea of black and white stripes inside the stadium akin to the club’s colours.
One X (formerly Twitter) user wrote, ‘Fulham have had a nightmare with those flags.’
Another wrote: ‘I don’t think that was well thought through.’ One said: ‘KKKraven Cottage.’
‘Someone didn’t think that through,’ said another while one fan added: ‘Who signed off on this?’

Luis Diaz put the visitors 1-0 up after 11 minutes after his shot was deflected into the back of the Fulham goal
Fulham, who are searching for their third win in their last 13 matches, went a goal down after 11 minutes.
Diaz fired a deflected shot into the back of the net to give the hosts the a 3-1 lead on aggregate.
But Fulham did have their chances at the start of the game, with Antonee Robinson firing a dangerous cross into the penalty area, forcing Caoimhin Kelleher to step off his line to produce a excellent save.
Should Liverpool win the tie, they will go on to play Chelsea in the League Cup final after they defeated Middlesbrough 6-1 (6-2 on aggregate) on Tuesday night.
