Bayern Munich have confirmed that Dayot Upamecano has signed a new long-term contract, keeping the French defender at the club until 2030.

“Dayot Upamecano has matured into a top-level player with us. We’re delighted he’ll continue his journey at Bayern, also proving once again our status in international football. His clear personal commitment is a strong message for our sporting course and for the good togetherness within the team and the club,” said FC Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen.

Upamecano, who joined Bayern from RB Leipzig in 2021, expressed his excitement about extending his stay:

“I’m really happy to be staying at Bayern and continuing to play in this team. We’ve got a great team and a great coach. We’ve got big goals together. In life, it’s always about mentality. I give my all for my teammates, in every training session, want to keep a clean sheet in every game and want to win as many titles as possible with Bayern.”

Since arriving in 2021, Upamecano has made 180 appearances for Bayern, scoring six goals and providing 11 assists.
