Fenerbahçe weighing up winter move for Goretzka

Leon Goretzka has reportedly attracted interest from Fenerbahçe.

Fenerbahçe are interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka during the winter transfer window, according to Turkish outlet Fanatik and German tabloid Bild.

The Turkish club’s coach, Domenico Tedesco, knows Goretzka from their time together at Schalke 04 and is said to be a big admirer of the midfielder’s qualities.

Goretzka is out of contract at the end of the season, and with an extension looking unlikely, the winter window could represent Bayern’s last opportunity to cash in on the Germany international.

However, Bild notes that a winter move is unlikely given Bayern’s thin squad depth.
