David De Gea’s Fiorentina will play Manchester United at Old Trafford on August 9, while Roma expand their Everton friendly event now set for the same day.
While the FIFA Club World Cup is still in full swing, other teams are preparing for the 2025-26 pre-season tests.
Fiorentina will be in England on August 9 to face Manchester United in a friendly, as confirmed by the Premier League club.
It is going to be an opportunity for former Reds goalkeeper De Gea to salute the fans too, after he revitalised his career in Italy.
Fiorentina and Roma to play in England
It was already known that Roma would play a friendly to open the new Everton Hill Dickinson Stadium, but more details are now confirmed.
That includes the date, which is Saturday August 9, and it will not be the only match that day.
Everton and Roma will also have a game afterwards between their Legends teams, who have already confirmed Vincent Candela and Phil Jagielka for the event.
Roma and Everton are both owned by the Friedkin family.
