This incredible form, which has also been replicated at international level for Italy, has helped attract attention from clubs in the Premier League and beyond.

According to Tuttosport, Barcelona are also eager to take advantage of the €52m release clause in his contract, which is valid only during the month of July.

With this in mind, Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso sat down with Kean yesterday to discuss the situation.

Reports including FirenzeViola insist Commisso reiterated how central he is to their project, something that has been so far lacking throughout his career.

Fiorentina hope that this need for stability and confidence in his capabilities will prompt the 25-year-old to remain at the Stadio Artemio Franchi for a while longer.
