The highly-anticipated draw for the “new and revamped” 2024/25 Champions’ League was completed on Thursday. Five Bundesliga representatives can now mark their calendars for eight forthcoming match-days spanning from September 17th, 2024 through January 29th, 2025.

Bulinews is pleased to supply the results of Thursday’s 2024/25 Champions’ League draw. Five German UCL representatives have learned their opponents over the course of eight match-days spanning from September 17th, 2024 through January 29th, 2025. A total field of 36 teams will be competing for 24 slots guaranteeing knock-out round football in a single table.

FC Bayern München

The eight opponents: Paris Saint-Germain (H), FC Barcelona (A), Benfica Lisbon (H), Shakhtar Donetsk (A), Dinamo Zagreb (H), Feyenoord Rotterdam (A), Slovan Bratislava (H), Aston Villa (A)

FCB are dreaming of the next “Final dahoam” on May 31st in Munich. Eight opponents from eight different countries await in the group stage. The highlight will certainly be the visit of FC Barcelona and former coach Hansi Flick. Benfica’s Roger Schmidt, a German coach, will also make a guest appearance at the Allianz Arena.

Borussia Dortmund

The eight opponents: FC Barcelona (H), Real Madrid (A), Shakhtar Donetsk (H), Club Brugge (A), Celtic Glasgow (H), Dinamo Zagreb (A), Sturm Graz (H), FC Bologna (A)

With Barca, Donetsk and Zagreb, the computer has given BVB three opponents who also await Bayern.  Die Schwarzgelben are up against both top Spanish clubs – at home against Barca, away in Madrid; the opponents in last year’s Champions League final.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen

The eight opponents: Inter Milan (H), Liverpool FC (A), AC Milan (H), Atletico Madrid (A), RB Salzburg (H), Feyenoord Rotterdam (A), Sparta Prague (H), Stade Brest (A)

After Atalanta Bergamo denied Bayer 04 the Europa League triumph in the previous season, Xabi Alonso’s side must face two tough Italian sides in the group phase. Both top Milan clubs are coming to Leverkusen. Stade Brest, a newcomer to the European Cup, are also among the opponents.

VfB Stuttgart

The eight opponents: Paris St. Germain (H), Real Madrid (A), Atalanta Bergamo (H), Juventus Turin (A), Young Boys Bern (H), Red Star Belgrade (A), Sparta Prague (H), Slovan Bratislava (A)

This will not be an easy task for VfB. Stuttgart face defending champions Real and Juventus away from home, while at home they face PSG and Europa League winners Atalanta, from whom they just acquired striker El Bilal Touré on loan.

RB Leipzig

The eight opponents: Liverpool FC (H), Inter Milan (A), Juventus Turin (H), Atletico Madrid (A), Sporting Lisbon (H), Celtic Glasgow (A), Aston Villa (H), Sturm Graz (A)

RB drew four very well-known clubs from the first two pots and can look forward to home games against Liverpool and Juventus. The enthusiasm of welcoming such clubs aside, the draw appears very tough for the German Red Bulls.
