Bruno Labbadia has been named new Nigeria coach.

Bruno Labbadia, who has coached a number of Bundesliga clubs in the past, has found a new job.

It was confirmed on Tuesday that the 58-year-old has been appointed Nigeria coach.

“The NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee to appoint Mr. Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles,” said Nigerian Football Federation general secretary Dr. Mohammed Sanusi.

Labbadia last coached Stuttgart between December 2022 and April 2023, when he was sacked after the team dropped to the bottom of the table.

He has also been in charge of Darmstadt, Greuther Fürth, Bayer Leverkusen, Hamburger SV, Wolfsburg and Hertha BSC.
