A former Chelsea player has filed for divorce having discovered that the two children that he raised were fathered by his wife’s ex.

As reported by The Sun, the couple’s twins were born after the player’s wife Laure had a fling.

Court documents in Cameroon say that the player’s wife ‘destroyed the harmony’ of their marriage ‘through her abject behaviour’.

It was also stated that she repeatedly lied and that ‘no children have been born from this union.’

Former Chelsea midfielder Geremi is said to have experienced a huge emotional shock following the discovery.

Geremi’s wife had claimed that the twins, who were born in June 2008 (four years before their marriage), were his.

This motivated them to get married, but Geremi has now been left stunned by the revelations. The 45-year-old said that his wife psychologically damaged him.

Geremi played for Chelsea between 2003 and 2007, during which time he won two Premier League titles.
