Former Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is reportedly open to the prospect of joining Manchester United during the January transfer window.

The Blues ace joined Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2024, and he had a productive debut campaign with several stand-out performances.

However, he has fallen out-of-favour in his second year at the La Liga giants and has been a regular substitute under Diego Simeone in recent months.

United were unsuccessful with a loan move for Gallagher before the deadline last summer, but they are reportedly planning a fresh move this winter.

Gallagher was not actively pushing for a transfer last summer, but his stance is likely to change at the turn of the year due to his World Cup dream.

The midfielder was a regular part of the England squad before losing his starting role at Atletico. He has the chance to redeem himself and earn a late call-up.

It remains to be seen whether Atletico accept a loan proposal from the Red Devils. They may want an option to buy included as part of the deal.
