Frankfurt’s Matanovic catching the eye at Gladbach

Could the Croatian talent be lured to the Borussia Park with the prospect of more game time?

Borussia Mönchengladbach are seriously interested in Igor Matanovic, according to journalist Christopher Michel.

The Fußball Transfers reporter is informed that Gladbach would initially prefer a loan deal for the striker.

Head coach Gerardo Seoane is believed to be excited by the German-born Croatian who is still a raw talent at just 22-years-old.

Matanovic made 25 appearances for Dino Toppmöller’s side last season and was impressive despite just 2 goals in that time.

One would imagine the future of Frankfurt marksman Hugo Ekitiké, who is heavily linked with Chelsea, may influence the deal.
